This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Fitreck collects, how it is used, stored, and protected, and what rights you have over your data. By using Fitreck, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Who We Are
Fitreck is a free fitness and nutrition tracking platform operated by Hassaan Naeem, accessible at fitreck.com. For privacy-related enquiries, contact us at support@fitreck.com.
2. Personally Identifiable Information (PII) We Collect
Fitreck collects the following categories of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) when you create an account or use the platform:
When you register with email and password, we collect your email address and a display name / username you choose. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. This information is stored in Firebase Authentication (Google LLC).
If you choose to enter them, we store your age, body weight, and height. This information is stored in your private Firestore database document and is not shared publicly.
Your chosen username is stored in a globally readable Firestore collection solely to enforce uniqueness. It is not linked to your email address in any public-facing context.
We may collect non-identifying usage data including device type, browser type, pages visited, and time on page. This may be collected via Google Analytics and Google AdSense.
3. Fitness and Health Data We Store
When you use the Fitreck workout tracker and diet tools, we store the following in your private Firestore account:
- Workout splits and exercise configurations
- Per-set logged data: exercise name, weight, reps, date
- Completed workout dates and consistency streak data
- Logged meals: food names, quantities, calories, macros
- App preferences: rest timer durations, preferred weight unit
- Journey start date
- Personal records (PRs) derived from logged sets
This data is stored under your unique user ID in Firebase Firestore and is only accessible to you. Fitreck staff do not access individual user fitness data.
4. Guest Accounts
If you use Fitreck as a Guest (anonymous sign-in), we assign you an anonymous user ID via Firebase Authentication. No email address or name is collected. Your fitness data is stored under this anonymous ID. If you later upgrade to a full account, your data is transferred to your new account. If you never upgrade, your data remains linked to the anonymous ID until you delete it or it expires.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Fitreck platform and its features
- Authenticate your identity and secure your account
- Sync your fitness data across devices
- Display your personal stats, PRs, and consistency calendar
- Enforce unique usernames for future leaderboard features
- Improve platform performance and user experience
- Serve and optimise advertising via Google AdSense
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
6. Firebase and Google Services
Fitreck uses the following Google services to operate:
- Firebase Authentication — stores your email address, display name, and sign-in method (email/password or Google). Operated by Google LLC.
- Cloud Firestore — stores your fitness data, preferences, and body stats. Data is stored in Google's cloud infrastructure.
- Google Analytics — collects anonymised usage data to help us understand how the platform is used.
- Google AdSense — displays advertisements. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to serve personalised ads based on your browsing behaviour.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Fitreck and its third-party partners use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Authentication cookies — to keep you signed in to your Fitreck account
- Analytics cookies — to understand how users interact with the platform (Google Analytics)
- Advertising cookies — to serve and measure advertisements (Google AdSense). These may include personalised ads based on your interests and browsing history across other websites.
You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the platform.
8. Data Retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account through the Fitreck account settings, all associated data — including your fitness records, meals, preferences, and body stats — is permanently deleted from our Firestore database. Your Firebase Authentication record is also deleted.
Anonymous guest accounts that are never upgraded may be automatically deleted by Firebase after an extended period of inactivity.
9. Data Security
Your data is protected by Firebase security rules that ensure only you can read or write your own data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are never stored by Fitreck — they are managed entirely by Firebase Authentication using industry-standard hashing.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no online system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — you can view all data stored in your account via the Fitreck platform
- Correction — you can update your username, body stats, and preferences at any time
- Deletion — you can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Account page
- Portability — contact us at support@fitreck.com to request an export of your data
- Opt-out of personalised ads — visit adssettings.google.com to manage Google ad personalisation
11. Children's Privacy
Fitreck is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at support@fitreck.com and we will delete the account promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Fitreck after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
